Madison: "You know why I'm smart?"
Me: "Why?"
Madison stated matter-of-factly, "Because my mom got me a laptop."
Amaya: "I'm going to be a monkey for Halloween because I love bananas."
Keep in mind it is the end of March, and we weren't talking about Halloween or bananas nor were there any bananas or monkeys to be seen.
